Aberystwyth Bibliographical Group visit

We are delighted to be welcoming 18 members of the Aberystwyth Bibliographical Group to The Story of Books (and Balch and Balch) bookshop this weekend for their annual outing.

The group was formed in 1970 to foster scholarly interest in printed books, periodicals, manuscripts and associated subjects. Thank you to Timothy Cutts from the National Library of Wales for organising this visit.

Bibliography (from Greek βιβλίον biblion, “book” and -γραφία -graphia, ‘writing;), as a discipline, is traditionally the academic study of books as physical, cultural objects; in this sense, it is also known as bibliology (from Greek -λογία, -logia).
